It's almost time

Wow, I can't believe that my sweet girl is finishing up her 6th grade year at school...
I look at her now and notice how much she has grown up and not in the last eleven years but in the last 6 months. Her face has matured, she's grown taller and parts of her have become more mature...

She has truly made me proud and has been excelling in all her "ATTEMPTS"
she is sassier then ever (but I am to blame for that) and she has become
a great help - tomorrow is her last day and there is NO promotion ceremony
(so sad about that) so we are going all out for dinner and decorating for a big deal

I made her this sweet card

A girly graduation card. Cute right?

Well, here's wishing all your graduation preparations to go off smashingly!

Inspired

I know that we are all totally addicted to PINTEREST.
I am more addicted to "pinning" when I find something cool I add it to my boards.
Well I found some really cool cupcakes with rainbows on them and new I wanted to try them -
you can see the original photo in my board "DELISH" on pinterest I am CURDISS6
so I tried my hand at these sweet cupcakes for my sons end of year party...
aren't they sweet...
they don't look near as PERFECT as the originals but I am quite proud of how they turned out.

I got lots of great comments on these today....Yeah me- I actually created a favorite from my PINS - on to the next one.

Dad Scrap

Gettin' my scrap on, lately....doing alot for my girls - a GIRL SCOUT ALBUM...
I recently had lunch with my dad and all my kids and took some silly pics of the
whole occasion and made this really quick and simple Layout...
just 2 photos some prima flowers and some fun chipboard...

and just a brief bit of journaling that reads:
LUNCH WITH DAD - P.F. CHANGS...

sometimes it's about getting the layout DONE - and not putting TOO much time into it.
Besides it makes me feel like I got something accomplished...try it sometime.

Heres wishing you an easy Thursday.

pretty & simple

I have this new fascination with making things pretty and recycling things I have
here...I'm NOT totally green but I do my  itty bitty part...so I know this idea goes way
back to my stampin up days...where you decorate a plain gift bag with "schtuff"
so here is my version (and a bit shabby too)

this is a small green striped bag I had laying around here (literally)
and I decided to use some really contrasting paper...

also used some of my punched pieces in some more funky patterned paper

did some stacking & layering on my main piece of CS

added a small sticker so that it can be used for "ANY" occasion

and here it is all done and I used some blue tissue paper for the inside..doesn't it look
great in all it's SHABBY cuteness...love it!

I love having these types of goodies in my stash for those "just in case" gift giving moments.

Birthday boy

This Tuesday was my sweet hubbs birthday
and while I BOUGHT him a birthday card I did manage to make a sweet "girl" card
using a new favorite stamps of mine. I love phrase stamps - they are so versatile and
with no theme embedded onto the stamps - I can use them for a either a boy or a girl.

I left my card really simple and even mix matched the papers - and I gotta tell you when you
don't follow the norm it really leaves you with a fantastic looking card.

the background paper is green & pink polk-a-dot paper then I added
a black border piece to off set it all and I love the look...
shabby in its own right.

another "whatever" card - boy my stash is really growing.

Wishing you all a wonderful Mother's day - and a Happy Birthday if it is this week.
