Making pretty

Gosh did you know that re-organizing your studio is ALOT of work.
Not to mention it really proves HOW MUCH of a pack rat I am.
Like how much paper does ONE person need?
How many stickers of the same theme can you use?
Well, I am happy to say that I am finally done...I have feverishly been listing my extras
on Craigslist...that place is way cool....quick results and fast cash...love it
Who Knew?

I am now finally able to get back to creating - without the stress of all
the mess. Here is a cute and quick card I created using
some new stamps and some misc. scraps of paper.

Cute right?

I am linking this up to Flutterby Wednesdays - buttons & bows
Creative Card Crew - for a child
paper play time - anything goes
digital tuesday - for the kids
Hope you are finding pretty in your day!

Easter Treat Holders

Had to share this super cute and simple Easter Treat idea
that is a very crafty and easy project even a child could do it.
And she did...

All you need is a cup (dollar store) some googly eyes, some left over craft foam and glue dots.
I think the directions are pretty self explanatory, you need to flip the cup upside down (using the smaller part for the head)  and you really could adapt this to
any color cup and just cut out the parts in scraps of foam...think--- yellow cup = chick
green cup = frog - you get the idea.
The treat holder can either be on the top of the cup - add some jelly beans
or use the inside of the cup to hide something a little bit bigger maybe a chocolate bunny...
Cute right.
Here is my little girl helping someone make one of these at my last show...

This guy was so impressed instead of JUST paying the 2.00 she was charging he gave
her a 23.00 tip...can you believe it?
A girl after my own heart.

Give it a shot - with your kiddos...makes a great make and take at any craft show or
girl scout meeting.

ever feel like this?

Ever feel like your "STUFF" has taken over your life?
Like perhaps this is proof that you have a compulsive
shopping disorder. Like you realize YOU will never use it all, EVER.
Like looking at it knowing it needs to be organized, but have NO
idea where to start!
Well, that is where I am at right now.
Now that I have finished my show I have not wanted to make a thing
yet I have decided to take on CONQUER the mess that is my studio!

I have been working on it for 3 days on and off.
I go in for a couple of hours and my husband comes in to check on me.
He says I look sad and pathetic and frustrated.
He keeps looking at me and I say to him:
"I have SOOOO much stuff."
he laughs and says "this is good therapy for you. Perhpas you won't need to WANT
to buy anything else for a long while."
I tell him of course I feel like that now but he doesn't get that trends change
seasons change and companies come out with newer and cooler embellishments - of which
I MUST have!

(buckets filled with scraps of paper and new emellishments yet to be used)

HI MY NAME IS TINA AND I HAVE A SCRAPBOOKING AND PAPER CRAFTING ADDICTION!

that is the first step afterall right?

Hope your weekend is starting off great...I'll keep you updated on my progress.

Birthday triplets

Happy Saturday Folks...it's early over here - having some what of an allergy attack..
anyway, Very busy this weekend. I have a big show in Brea and getting for Spring break...lots to do. I wanted to share these cute cards I made using another fun stamp from the bargain bin.

I am still in "make more then one" mode so I made three
I made one for a girl, a boy and an adult...
Here they are.
Isn't the mouse stamp cute?

Kept the embellishments on this one simple yet sweet.
Kept the colors on this one very girly and added fun prima flowers.
Very cute right?

Finally left the ribbon off and kept looking a bit plain but
it rocks for a little dude right?

Well, I hope you have a relaxful weekend.

sending hugs your way!

Happy St. Patty's Day

Happy Irish Day to you!
Did you remember to wear green?
I did and made sure all my kiddo's did too.

I was able to get out the stamps today, amist my crazy busy schedule...
I used some cool stamps by Stamps for Life
it's a butterfly stamp set none the less....and a flower builder too - so I
ued the small flower petal and created this sweet SHAMROCK.
Also used the butterfly specks as the stem of the shamrock - CLEVER right? haha

I also added a small chipboard butterfly and glittered it up and added it to the bow at the top.
I love it.

I have a big show this weekend and am making the finishing touches on all my goodies.

I'll be back tomorrow.
xo
Have a great night.
I am linking this card up to the following challenges:
belli challenge - "c" charms/chipboard
flutter by wednesday - green or a sketch & butterfly
for fun challenges - green or st. patricks day

Re-Connect

Good Monday Morning to you!
I wanted to share a story with you and a sweet card...

In high school I had a very best friend named Delilah and she was super cool.
I loved everything about her. She was confident, beautiful and smart. All the things I wasn't.
We hit it off and became close all sophomore and junior year...
staying close through senior year got a bit tougher and after high school she decided
to joing the marines. I was mad that she was leaving and jealous that I didn't go too.
We eventually lost touch and it wasn't until last year (20 yers later) that I saw her again at a mini high school reunion. It was like old times. Like no time had past.
I am happy to say that we have kept in touch over the past year and yesterday we met for lunch
and it was fabulous. She is pregnant and having her first child - it was great to be the one
giving the advice and share my crazy family life with her.

I gave her the card above and a small gift and she was thrilled with it.
Yeah! I love to see people's reactions to homemade goodies when they aren't as crafty.
It kind of gives value to what I do.

ANyway here we are - together again...

Here's hoping you have the chance to reconnect with someone special in your life.

Have a great Monday

Got Green?

Just wondering if St. Patrick's Day is a day you celebrate?
I usually will put up some shamrocks and such around the house but that
pretty much covers my decorations and I have to admit that I don't make
too many st. patty's day cards because I just don't have that many irish people to give them too.
I know sounds like an oxy moronic thing to say right?
I can give away my cards to anyone for what ever reason right?

o.k. wow I just went off on a tangent so sorry...

Here is my fun St. Patrick's Day card.
I am thrilled with the way this card came out - lots of different papers used and few
embellishments.

I popped the center sentiment up with pop dots...and
NO extra doo-dads
cool right?

I am thinking that  I may cook up some
corn beef and cabbage - get my Irish on...
we'll see.
Hope your week has been wonderful.
this will work for the WOODWARE challenge - sentiment focus

I am glad you are out there! Talk soon.

Spring is on its way

Are you feeling the coolness and the bright warm sun over in your
neck of the woods?  think it's "SPRING" peeking it's sweet
face in our direction...hope it's peeking where you are too.

I decided to bring spring in this week and made this set of cards.
I have been in "2 of everything" mode lately
Here I used the same image and 2 different sentiments. The same colors really
just different hues to mix it up a little bit.

I just found this sweet stamp in the bargain bin of my local stamp store
used my copics to color the image and the sentiments are from 2 different sets.

This first one is a "JUST BECAUSE" card

The second one is a "SEIZE THE DAY" type card
I have to say that I am digging the white background-
didn't used to like to see any white on anything but sometimes with bright colors it works.
Dontch'a think?

so I think this will work for the following challenges:
the pink elephant - spring time
craft your passion - anything goes

Well chickadees - here's wishing you a sunshine filled day!

blast from the past

I like to try new things as I am sure you do too.
So I found these really cool cards a year or so ago by Martha Stewart
They reminded me of old fashioned greeting cards.

You remembr those old fashioned honeycomb cards?
Cute right?

This was a set of 10 cards. Fruits in honeycomb shapes and a sticker sentiment.
Here is the inside (above)

Here are the fronts of the cards.
Cute right?
Not much stamping or any input on my part other than deciding the location of the
stickers.

I gave the finished set of cards to my mother in law and she loved them...

What are you making these days?

Thanks for sticking with me and not giving up on me and my sweet bloggy!
