TAG your it!

As I was gathering things for yesterdays tag - I found an old embossed

tag (trying to be Tim Holtz) that didn't make it to the old finished pile.

and it already had some tape attached to the top. I grabbed up some more

little die cuts and went to town.

Not to much had to be done; added the piece with some pop up

tape and BADDA BING BADDA BOOM- done!

I am thinking about making a ton of these.

night one in VEGAS - off the hook!!!!

a THANK YOU

So today we are off to Vegas for an early birthday celebration just me

and the hubbs...and my mother-in-law is watching the kids.

Let me tell you - that is NO easy task. I am one to keep things real here...

So as a thank you I decided to buy her a bottle of wine...now I am no wine

drinker so I am hoping this is a decent flavor...being the crafter that I am

I decided to give a bit of sass appeal...Just a quick tag and now it looks like

a gift from the heart...dont'cha think? I literally used scraps of paper - sometimes it

doesn't take much to make something look fabulous and QUICK... 

Best part - is I left it blank so she could use the tag for someone else

later...2 fer...love that. At the last minute my sweet little girl decided

to wrap up a painted rock for her grandma and this is her sassy touch...

need to work on that with her.

summer colors

what do you think about this one?

I made this card specifically for a challenge and while it is out of

my comfort zone - I am beginning to like it. It reminds me of summer.

The challenge was to make a 1 layer card...no extra DPs...ouch it was tough..

I used theses awesome stamps by Tim Holtz and just used a yellow, and red & black

ink, on the solid white card front.

I gotta tell you those stamps look amazing on here - but what would you expect from Tim.

Our summer is slowly coming to an end. We are going to Vegas this week for a pre-birthday celebration.

just me and the hubster...can't wait...then 1 more week and the girls go back to school.

can you believe it already? crazy...so early august 8th - absurd really!

Pirate layout

I finally got to scrapbook my sons 4th birthday - yeah for me.

But can I just ask - is it just me or is hard for you too to scrapbook

boy pages? I think this is missing something like flowers and ribbon - just

takes up more space really...but this page looks so empty to me.

and let's not point out the obvious that I have no idea how to

play with banner stickers...ummm really Tina...could I not even make

it swing and sway properly?

Gosh!!

Most important thing is I got er' done...and now just to add it to the album.

Pretty Writing

I just had to share this really fun super inexpensive journal I made.

It is made from one of those 1.00 store composition books and then I just used

some fun scrapbooking papers and covered up the front and added a cool

vintage card to the front...

the white flash got in the way of the paper here

but doesn't this just make you want to start writing...

I think it is inspiring really...I plan on making more and adding them to my ebay shop.

These really would make great gifts too.

Hello again!

Gosh...wow - life is CRAZY right now...do you know the feeling?

But I decided that I would not feel guilty about not blogging. Do you KNOW

that feeling? I hope so...I am not really big on PRE-posting...

never really got into that although I hear it saves on valuable time...

I just rather talk about what is in my NOW...hope you can appreciate that.

I did take the time to make a card tonight and I guess I am dedicating it to me.

My birthday is in 3 weeks. I made this card using purely scraps and the

items I had on my desk...I love the colors and I gotta tell you it makes me HAPPY! It's

very cheery - wouldn't you say?

What makes me even happier is that this card works for the following challenges:

I found these really cool SUPER LARGE GINORMOUS
CLOTHESPINS - at a local stamp store for $.75 cool right?

I added paper to the front side with matte medium and then added a flower-easy peasy!

cool to hold your own photos - or perhaps your favorite ATC card.

Summer fun

Hi there - Happy Monday

I have been busy getting ready for vacations and such and making fun new albums

SPonge WHAT?

I can't hear you?

Yeah I think this kiddie show is OBNOXIOUS but my kids

love it. I love making scrapbooks and decided to make one

featuring this crazy spongy dude...

I just used some primary color papers...and some cut outs

fun right - any little dude or dudette would love it!

MONTE CARLO with Selens Gomes with my girls and a family friend

then later on we are going to my pottery teahers house to celebrate in the pool,

eat some yummy food and watch the fireworks,,,should be the best 4th

we have ever had...in a long while.

We went to the beach today and it was hazy but boy did we catch a nice

BASE coat (burn) for the summer vacations planned in July...

I love the card I have here - it came along really easy and love the look

best part is there is NO stamping I used rub-ons...

Seeing Red

and yellow and pink and all the colors of summer.

I wasn't really feeling this card at first but then I added that rub-on

on the bottom right, and the buttons and SHAZAAM I Love it.

It is in the high 90's here in So Cal and is going to get hotter...

I can't bear this heat luckily for me our air conditioning is working FULL BLAST

and there goes the SCE bill - cuz the poor AC has been working overtime...

Needless to say, that summer is in full swing here and I decided to make a card

just for the occasion...
